I ended up with another headache behind my right eye this afternoon.

I'm pretty sure it's probably a sleep deprivation headache of some sort.

As I had a 5am shift at work this morning.

And getting up at 4:30 is not a normal thing for me. Like...until the pandemic started I was used to getting up at like 5:30 or so for a 6 or 6:30 shift.

But with the pandemic?

No most of my shifts start around the same time the sun rises.

So getting up a couple of hours before the sun.

Is so weird. And it throws me off.

Like...I do best if I can expect a consistent schedule. A consistent pattern.

And whenever i throw that pattern off in some manner...like working a 5am shift.

I usually end up paying for it with a headache.

This one was probably just sleep related. Like going to bed earlier...and waking up in the middle of the night...and going back to bed...and then getting up before the sun....yah it messed with me.

And I really probably could have headed it off earlier if I could have just crashed right after work.

But my phone conspired against me by constantly buzzing with notifications when I was trying to sleep and only when I was trying to sleep.

So I ended up tensing up. The muscles in my neck getting sore....and walla. Headache. XP

I tried to head it off with food, with mountain dew, with a heat pack.

But it was more of a a long hot shower and then an aleve that at least helped the muscles relax enough that the headache is faint. Barely a hint in my head.

But still there.

And probably won't leave until I can actually get some proper sleep tonight.

I ended up with a headache behind my right eye for most of today.

I'm pretty sure it was triggered when I got startled awake this morning at like 7:30 am when I received a text message.

As I woke up long enough to glance at it to make sure it wasn't an emergency before rolling over and going back to sleep.

And I'm pretty sure the disturbance to my sleep through off my sleep cycle and I didn't sleep the right amount and that triggered the ache behind my right eye.

It probably could be not eating properly as I ended up barely grabbing anything to eat before darting off to work.

And the headache persisted for at least half my shift before I was able to make it go away.

Probably from a combination of a) Tylenol b) Coke c) Heatpack d) quick snack e) quick nap.

As after I took that brief ten minute nap the headache did noticeably decrease and went away entirely sometime after I took my lunch break. So woot.

Glad I was able to make it go away. Especially because I ended up stuck on register more often than not and it's hard to keep up the 'I'm perfectly fine" act in front of customers if you have a headache pounding away behind your eye.

I ended up with a nuclear migraine last night.

More than likely it's the monthly hormonal one. But it was probably triggered by a) not sleeping well the night before b) surviving off of mostly mountain dew and junk food all day and c) trying to multitask between watching a show and writing.

I ended up taking a Tylenol and Aleve after trying to sleep it off failed and then took a long shower after that to try and get my muscles to relax a bit before the meds kicked in. Managed to make it go away around 1am ish maybe? Who knows....at least I managed to get a handful of hours of sleep....

Managed to keep the migraine from coming back this morning but ended up having one behind my right eye bug me off and on throughout the day. Most of that was related to emotional stress and would come and go so it wasn't a major one....but still...kinda annoying.

I actually didn't get woken up early via managers this morning because I had to actually wake up early to go to work. So no morning migraine greeted me this morning! Woot!

Unfortunately, a stupid yappy dog that came into the store today and barked for a good hour straight while it was in it's training class....triggered the muscles in my neck to grow tense as I am sensitive to sounds. Specifically repetitive sounds. repetitive loud sounds.

I tried to head it off by taking a Tylenol, but unfortunately the damage was done and I ended up with a headache behind my right eye for the rest of my work shift and into the night. Which was unfortunate as i was having a movie night with friends and it made it difficult to fully enjoy the evening when there was this faint pounding constantly behind my right eye. But at least I was able to participate in the movie night. So woo for that. Hopefully getting some sleep will help the headache to finally go away. We'll see.

Got woken up by my managers again early this morning, which is probably part of the reason why I had another migraine triggered this morning behind my left eye.

Unfortunately, like yesterday's migraine, it too refused to go away before I had to go into work. I was able to keep it mostly at bay with meds and caffeine. But it didn't fully go away until after my roommate brought me some Taco Bell and eating a soft beef taco with the nacho fries and a Baja Blast and then taking like a ten minute nap had it fade completely away by the time I got off my lunch break. So woot!! :D

Woke up with a migraine behind my left eye today, which is not the best thing to wake up to when you have a midday shift. *exhales* I think being startled awake by my fellow managers texting me early in the morning may have triggered it, but I'm also thinking it's a hormonal related headache as well since it is behind my left eye.

I tried to keep up on Excedrin and drinking caffeine to keep the migraine at bay, but I ended up having to leave work early tonight because the migraine kept roller coastering between being tolerable to intolerable.

I grabbed some Arctic Circle after work in the hopes that some hot food would help it go away, but in the end it seems like a two hour nap helped it to finally fade away as I felt much better after waking up from that.

I've had a headache behind my right eye for most of the day today. Pretty sure it's stress related since we've been prepping for the DM to come by to visit. And having the managers be stressed for various reasons is never good for my own stress levels.
I've been surviving off of Excedrin and some Dr. Pepper though I do think the sugar content isn't helping at the moment, so I worked more to drink water instead as the headache seemed to spike after drinking the soda.
