I ended up with a slight headache at work today.

Part of it could be the fact that I stayed up until 3 am last night and slept until my alarm went off (with a small disturbance at like 8am for an Amber Alert) for me to go to work.

But I think it was mostly triggered because I ended up being the cashier on the register from 12-130 today because our official cashier ended up going home early today and we needed the coverage and I was the free body to help cover as our two stockers were needed to finish up the truck.

And like being stuck on register isn't fun.

But it's even less fun when you have a constant stream of customers for that hour and a half.

Like the line never ended. Whenever I would get down to one person another customer would jump in line before I finished ringing up the transaction.

Which on the one side was great because it meant I wasn't going to be standing there bored waiting for someone to come check out.

On the other side it meant that I had to be 'on' for a full hour and a half. Which meant constant interaction. Constant chatter. I had to be social and couldn't just escape away from the register to go to a different corner of the store.

*exhales*

So yah, pretty sure that triggered my headache behind my right eye.

I took a couple of excedrin and a couple of breaks to try and make it go away but it's still lingering a bit.

I ended up getting my second dose of the Covid Vaccine on June 11th.

Ended up with one of those 'tired' headaches behind my eyes where you feel so tired that your eyes hurt.

Since then I've had a slight headache basically every day though I think most of them were caused by the heat wave we've been going through since it's been reaching 100 and over this week.

And when you're working 8 hours a day doing a closing shift in a building with soso ac and while still wearing a mask...yah...I've ended up with a headache behind my right eye from the tension in my neck.

Which again. Could be heat related, but could also be vaccine related as I got the shot in my right arm -as I am left handed- and the muscles were tense on my right side.

Though the migraine I got late June 17th/Early June 18th is probably hormonal in nature as it was behind my left eye.

I've spent a lot of the week mostly sleeping and taking hot showers/baths in attempts to get the headache to go away. Meds haven't really been working this time around and again most of the headaches are probably heat/ tension induced.

So I'm looking forward to a day off and staying in the cool darkness and hopefully avoiding triggering yet another headache.

The muscles in the right side of my neck started getting tense today towards the end of my work shift. Been taking Excedrin to stay on top of it but I think the stress and the heat here have contributed to a slight ache forming behind my right eye. Nothing major. Getting some real food after my shift seems to have helped it a bit.

The migraine was back this morning when I woke up. Aching behind my left eye.

I ended up taking excedrin and another long hot bath to try and make it go away.

Even delayed going into work a couple of hours to ensure that my headache was fully gone before I went in tonight as I didn't want to suffer again with another migraine. Thankfully I was able to get it gone before I went into work. So yay.

Woke up with a migraine behind my left eye.

Probably triggered by the stress of the day before. But since it's behind the left eye...it could be hormonaly related as well.

It probably also had to deal with the knowledge that I would be spending the entire holiday at work dealing with customers.

Tried to keep the migraine at bay but meds weren't working. Could make it fade a bit by taking breaks and resting my eyes.

But by the time the night ended my migraine was much worse.

To the point where breathing wrong could set off my gag reflex because my head was aching so much.

I was tense enough that my arms were tingling.

I ended up taking a long hot bath for like an hour which helped to relax my muscles enough to get the tingling arms to go away and the headache to finally leave so yay.

May have finally broken the migraine cycle. We'll see what the morning brings.

But apparently hitting the pressure points in my arm....

As well as grabbing my usual order at Wendy's....seems to have done the trick on getting my migraine to fade and my muscles to relax.

So like...I either needed a really deep massage.

Or I needed a specific nutrient found in my Wendy's order to finally break the migraine's grip on me.

In either case. I'm crossing my fingers that this will finally be the end of it.

Until the next time the migraine strikes....

Still having to deal with the stupid headache. It just likes to hover behind my right eye. Pretty sure it's caused by my neck/shoulder muscles being tense but literally nothing I've been trying to do to get it to relax has helped. It remains tense. It remains aching. At this point i'm resigned to having the migraine for a full nother week because it just keeps returning every day.
