I woke up just after midnight this morning with a pounding headache behind my left eye.

Which I'm not too surprised by as I tend to get hormonal related headaches right before and right after my period, but it's rather irritating all the same to have it occur.

I know it's more than likely hormonal related because those ones usually always occur behind my left eye and my left eye/left shoulder were aching like crazy.

There were potential other factors involved as well though.

Like it was Fast Sunday yesterday so I didn't eat as much as I usually do.
I also went to church yesterday so yay social stress.
I also drove up and down from my Grandma's home and driving can always tense up my muscles.
And I socialized with family in the sun for a good couple of hours.

So yah. There were plenty of other potential factors to also trigger this migraine.

And unfortunately it wasn't a beast that could be slayed by just sleeping.

I ended up going to bed at like 10pm last night and as I said earlier woke up after 12 then again around 2 then at 230 and I think at like 4 something before my alarm woke me up at 530 to go to work for my 6am shift.

*exhales*

I tried all sorts of medicines, heat packs, caffeine, showers....no dice.

It was really only after I got to work and grabbed a mountain dew that it started to fade away. *exhales*

But yah...not a good day for me.

I woke up sometime before 3 am this morning with a major migraine behind my left eye.

I'm pretty sure it was triggered by not getting enough sleep the night before and being unable to take a nap without getting interrupted. It probably could have also been the stress of work the past couple of days that also helped to trigger it.

In any case. I took an Aleve and a Tylenol and a long hot shower before crashing with a heatpack on the couch upstairs until my alarm went off.

While the headache was faint when I woke back up, it ended up coming back while I was at work. Unfortunately due to circumstances I couldn't leave early, so I ended up surviving by drinking a coke and taking a couple of breaks and just trying to distract myself with work.

Once I got home I ate a couple of tuna fish sandwiches to get some more food in me, had a bit of mountain dew and took a 2 hour nap before grabbing an Excedrin and then taking a long bath to soak my aching muscles in the heat.

Currently the headache's finally managed to fade. But we'll see if it stays gone tomorrow.

I had a headache behind my right eye for most of the day today. I'm guessing due to sleeping the wrong amount or reading too much before work....Excedrin helped it to not be too bad throughout my work shift and it was basically gone by the time I got home.

Woke up with a slight headache behind my left eye today. Probably because I didn't get the right amount of sleep...aka I slept too long? Who knows.

I do know that my muscles have been rather sore, probably from the tension of yesterday's closing shift, and while taking some Tylenol and Aleve seems to have helped take at least the edge off of the soreness...the headache behind my left eye still remains. Hopefully I can make it go away at some point today but who knows when that will happen.

Another slight headache behind my right eye today. *exhales* It did go away at some point while I was at work...probably when I got distracted away from it. But yah not fun to have to deal with.

I ended up with another headache behind my right eye this afternoon.

I'm pretty sure it's probably a sleep deprivation headache of some sort.

As I had a 5am shift at work this morning.

And getting up at 4:30 is not a normal thing for me. Like...until the pandemic started I was used to getting up at like 5:30 or so for a 6 or 6:30 shift.

But with the pandemic?

No most of my shifts start around the same time the sun rises.

So getting up a couple of hours before the sun.

Is so weird. And it throws me off.

Like...I do best if I can expect a consistent schedule. A consistent pattern.

And whenever i throw that pattern off in some manner...like working a 5am shift.

I usually end up paying for it with a headache.

This one was probably just sleep related. Like going to bed earlier...and waking up in the middle of the night...and going back to bed...and then getting up before the sun....yah it messed with me.

And I really probably could have headed it off earlier if I could have just crashed right after work.

But my phone conspired against me by constantly buzzing with notifications when I was trying to sleep and only when I was trying to sleep.

So I ended up tensing up. The muscles in my neck getting sore....and walla. Headache. XP

I tried to head it off with food, with mountain dew, with a heat pack.

But it was more of a a long hot shower and then an aleve that at least helped the muscles relax enough that the headache is faint. Barely a hint in my head.

But still there.

And probably won't leave until I can actually get some proper sleep tonight.
