I ended up with a nuclear migraine last night.
One that lasted into the early hours of this morning.
I'm pretty sure it was a stressor of some sort that triggered it. Though I did do my best to head it off by taking meds and drinking some caffeine while I was at work...
I'm mostly guessing that it was just the usual work stress of trying to find something to do to pass the time when I finish my opening tasks.
As Fridays...there's no bedding change.
So I end up getting done with tasks really early...leaving me hours of trying to fill the time while I wait for customers to come in.
Usually Fridays are fish days.
So like...we get in our fish shipments on Fridays...but with the pandemic going on....everything is messed up. And the trucks are coming in at weird times.
Thankfully yesterday's fish shipment came in before I was off. So it gave me something to do.
However, it was an extremely small shipment. Only one layer of boxes on the pallet.
Which our fish shipments usually have two or three layers.
So one layer is really small.
To make matters worse.
We only got in 4 bettas.
Which isn't unexpected. As we were told that the facility that sends out the bettas....has had some issues relating to the pandemic.
So while we usually get in 20-40 bettas at a time...
Now it's just...random.
Sometimes we only get in 4. Othertimes it's 14....
But it's not as many bettas as we used to get.
Which was probably stressful for me because my sister's son was looking forward to getting a new betta this week because his died a couple of days ago.
And the ones that came in were like $20 bettas. And they weren't exactly in the colors that her son was looking for.
So yah that was stressful.
And I'm guessing that may have been the main trigger to the headache.
As I don't like disappointing people.
And I could feel the headache beginning towards the end of my shift.
I tried to head it off after work by grabbing a Dr. Pepper and food from Wendy's. Hoping that having more nutrients in my system would prevent the headache from going full blown migraine.
It didn't help.
The migraine got progressively worse.
To the point where I basically just died on the couch for the rest of the evening.
Showers didn't help.
Heat packs didn't help.
Excedrin slightly helped.
But yah....it was rough.
At least the migraine left before I had to go into work. So yay that.
