I leaned against the window, watching the raindrops race each other down the glass as cars splashed through the roads, roaring past my vehicle stuck on the side of the road without a care in the world that I was inside and stranded.
Because there was no way I was getting out in the pouring rain to fix a flat.
Not yet.
I glanced up at the clouds, looking for a break or a sign that the rain would be lessening sometime soon.
Yet it all was the same stony greyness in every direction the droplets continuing to attempt their fruitless foray into my vehicle with more ferocity with each passing second.
"Soon." I whisper, tapping my fingers against the steering wheel. "Soon you'll let up."
Because I didn't want to change a tire and get soaked in the process.
