I rounded the corner and quickly ducked my head as I darted to the door leading out of sight of the customers, hoping that the couple standing talking to my coworker by the fish hadn't seen me.
I already knew it was highly unlikely. But I could hope.
Because I didn't want to deal with those particular customers, especially when I was even supposed to be here in the first place. Technically I was off the clock in my street clothes. I didn't need them waylaying me from my tasks--
No such luck.
I hid a flinch as my coworker called me out by name, his voice begging me to come save him from the very insistent customers.
Biting back a loud sigh I turned, pasting a smile on my face.
Here we go again.
